New Beginnings, Remembering the Past, and Moving Forward

Here we go again.

Take two.

Hi guys! I'm back! This time I'm ready to jump into the whole blog thing instead of just sticking my toe in the pool. No more erratic posting and lackluster posts with some pictures of outfits and the occasional rantings of a crazy lady with her strange Communist, Feminist, Freeganist, Environmentalist ideals. Yes there will still be pictures of my outfits, and hopefully a lot more rantings, but I also want to share my life with you.

Whether I'm talking to the 11 people that followed my old blog ( When to Wear ), or if my blog one day gets "successful" and has a lot of followers, or if I am just communing with the vast emptiness of the internet I want to have an open and honest space here where I can just express myself and share my life regardless of who is or is not reading.

So for all of those that followed or commented on my old blog, thank you. For all those who may read, comment, or follow my new blog, welcome, I'm Kelsey, or Kels, or Crazy Old Lady whatever works. First and foremost I guess this is a fashion blog. Although I believe that through fashion we can, if we choose to, express our inner selves. Our fashion choices can open up doors of discussion about a wide verity of current issues from the media's impact on our ideas of beauty, and how this effects womens' self esteem, to where our clothes come from and the impact that our clothing purchases have on our planet.

So for my first post I thought I would review some looks from my past blog. I think my personal style has really developed over the past few months. Overall I would say that my style is just a love off all things vintage and ridiculous with a predisposition for dressing like a dirty, grungy, homeless, hippie. Who knows, I could wake up tomorrow with a whole new vibe and decide to dress differently.

To see more pictures of any of the outfits, or to see where the stuff I'm wearing is from, ( most of it is thrifted, vintage, from my old store, from my new store, and a few Tunnel Vision pieces) you can see them all over on my old blog

Also if you haven't already, check out the lovely Madeline wearing a vest from my brand new etsy shop! Just want to say that she is the nicest blogger I have ever talked to online. When I first started a blog I sent her some clothes and she wore them on her blog without me ever even asking or bugging her about doing so. She totally rocks.

Okay I'm off to cook some salmon for dinner ( although I am thinking of stopping eating fish but it's really hard when your hubby LOVES eating meat, so fish and eggs have kind of become our middle ground) and think about what topics I should write about on this here little blog of mine. Also if you ever want to read about or see a video on any specific topics just leave a comment or send me an email. =D

Love and Peace,

Kelsey

P.S. This is her husband, Ben. I ended up cooking that salmon, so don't let her fool you. Additionally, she stole that Mallrats shirt from me. I write this as I finish proofreading her post.
